Brendon Hanna
My name is Brendon Hanna. I am a retired Navy Chief, I served for 21 amazing crazy years. I joined the Navy at 18 years old and I have traveled all over the world. I served on three ships and an aviation squadron. I deployed several times across the Pacific Ocean to Somalia to deliver aid, to Indonesia for the Tsunami relief effort, and to the Persian Gulf for Operations Desert Storm and Southern Watch, and countless ports in between. I was stationed in California, Washington, Germany, and Massachusetts. My wife Heather and I have been married for 23 years, and we have three awesome children (Emily, David, and Catelyn) who have kept us very busy with all kinds of activities, and we now have our first Grand-child, Ava who is keeping us even more busy, but we would not change it for the world. Between soccer, cross country, track meets, tennis, cheer, dance, gymnastics, and band there is never a dull moment. I have coached youth and ODP soccer and volunteered in church children and youth programs for over 21 years. My years of experience have created in me a passion for History. It is my privilege to be able to teach History here at Van Alstyne Middle School and help make it come alive in the minds of my students.
